Volunteer Resource Center

The Volunteer Resource Center is operated by the Department of Health and Social Services' Office of Volunteerism. It matches adults of all ages with community agencies in need of volunteers.  Volunteers with almost every type of interest and skill can be linked with agencies that can put them to work.  For more information, contact the Volunteer Resource Center.

Retired Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP)

RSVP is a program which facilitates volunteering for people aged 55 and over.  RSVP helps participants identify their skills and talents and matches them up with volunteer assignments in organizations such as schools, hospitals, museums, and other non-profits agencies.  RSVP also provides volunteers with insurance, help with transportation, and special recognition.  There are no dues, fees, or income requirements.  For more information contact RSVP in New Castle County at (302) 255-9674; in Kent County at (302) 734-1200; and in Sussex County at (302) 856-5815 or visit the RSVP web site .
