The Instructional Materials and Resource Center (IMRC) provides Accessible Educational and Instructional Materials in alternate formats such as Braille, Large Print, and digital versions to our visually impaired students in Delaware's K12 educational system. These digital versions can be accessed on a computer or mobile device. The IMRC also maintains depositories of braille and large print books and instructional equipment including assistive technology.
Requests from outside agencies and businesses are processed as production resources allow.
Materials that are produced in-house are made possible through the efforts of agency staff, volunteers, and the Men With A Message Braille Program located at the James T. Vaughn Correctional Center.
Men With A Message is a cooperative program run jointly between the Division for the Visually Impaired and the Department of Correction. The program employs Braillists (each certified by the Library of Congress) and a Large Print Producer.
