Senior Community Service Employment Program


Description The Senior Community Service Employment Program provides paid, part-time work experience for eligible persons. Training available through the program takes place at various locations and is subsidized (e.g., paid for by the program). The program also provides its participants with supportive services, training workshops, and help with finding employment.
Eligibility Delaware residents 55 years and older who have family incomes at or below 125% of the poverty level. Service priority is given to individuals meeting one or more of the following criteria:
  • Veteran or a spouse of a veteran
  • 65 years of age or older
  • With a disability
  • Limited English proficiency
  • Low literacy skills
  • Residing in a rural area
  • Low employment prospects
  • Homeless or at risk for homelessness
