WHAT: Meeting of the Prescription Drug Action Committee. This committee is a public-private partnership with the following objectives:
  • Summarize and identify current knowledge on and efforts to curtail prescription medication abuse;
  • Identify best practices and recommend educational, enforcement, public health, and policy strategies to monitor and curtail any such abuse; and
  • Recommend measures to assure the availability of state of the art resources for pain management and treatment of individuals with a drug addiction.
