On November 27, 2002, the Delaware Clean Indoor Air Act took effect. Smoking is not permitted in workplaces and most indoor public places, including but not limited to:
The purpose of the Clean Indoor Air Act is to protect the health and environment of the people of Delaware. Because three out of four people in Delaware don’t smoke, we’re asking smokers to protect the health of others by smoking outside or in areas where smoking is permitted. If you see someone smoking in an establishment where it is not permitted, please call the toll-free hotline .
