H1N1 UPDATE - FEB. 18, 2010

Case Counts: For the period of Feb. 7 - 13, no cases of H1N1 virus were confirmed by Delaware's Division of Public Health (DPH) lab, similar to the previous week. There were no hospitalizations from H1N1 during the week of Feb. 7 - 13. There were two reports of influenza-like illness from DPH's network of sentinel providers. Delaware's influenza activity status remains sporadic, with 11 reports of influenza-like illness the previous week from sentinel providers. The total number of confirmed H1N1 cases since Oct. 4 is 1,973 compared to 1,972 last week. The revised increase is due to the lag time between when a specimens was collected and when the positive test result was available.
