H1N1 UPDATE - FEB. 12, 2010

Case Counts: For the period of Jan. 31 - Feb. 6, no cases of H1N1 virus were confirmed by Delaware's Division of Public Health (DPH) lab, similar to the previous week. There were no hospitalizations from H1N1 during the week of Jan. 31 - Feb. 6. Due to the weather emergency, reports of influenza-like illness from DPH's network of sentinel providers are incomplete. Delaware's influenza activity status remains sporadic, with 12 reports of influenza-like illness the previous week from sentinel providers. The total number of confirmed H1N1 cases since Oct. 4 remains 1,972.

Pharmacies Providing Free H1N1 Vaccine: DPH continues to subsidize the cost of H1N1 vaccine so that participating Delaware pharmacies can offer the shot free of charge to anyone age 18 or older.
