Education Subcommittee
Committee Chair: Sandra Spangler
The Education subcommittee is made up of 5 members from the education, business and community sectors as well as 3 non commission partners representing a non-profit parent organization and the DE Department of Education. The Education Subcommittee began its work in April 2012 by identifying areas of need in the educational realm - preschool/early intervention, K-12 education, post-secondary, and adult education. In an effort to narrow its focus, it was determined that the committee should gather information about services currently available for each of these groups.
While the Education Subcommittee continues to gather information, its members feel the greatest impact can be made at the early childhood level, assisting preschool aged children and their parents with literacy, parenting, and educational issues. Therefore, they welcome any interested individuals to join them in this effort.
