About the Delaware Hispanic Commission

The Delaware Hispanic Commission was created by Executive Order Number Twenty-Eight for the purpose of expanding and improving the representation of and advocacy for Delaware's Hispanic Community to identify and address the most important needs of Delaware's rapidly growing Hispanic families. The collaborations of community, education, non-profit organizations, health, housing, employment, legislative, media, legal, and various state agencies appointed to the Commission are improving the lives of many Hispanic Delawareans. In order to identify and address the needs associated with our state's increasing diversity, the Commission will focus on assessing the characteristics, contributions, needs and issues of Hispanic Delawareans.

The Delaware Hispanic Commission is committed to enriching the lives of the Hispanic Community by enhancing and streamlining efforts to improve the delivery of services; bringing awareness of current issues to the state agencies; suggesting possible solutions for the agencies consideration; and keeping the Hispanic Community informed of available state assistance that exist for all Delaware residents.
