The Summer Institute (SI) Brochure, will soon be available in the Training Office and on our website. Please find scholarship information included or on our website at www.dhss.delaware.gov/si06. Who is eligible for a 35th Summer Institute Scholarship? Merit, contract, and seasonal employees of DSAMH and employees of DSAMH funded programs are eligible to apply. What is the scholarship amount? A scholarship award from the DSAMH Training Office covers fifty percent of Institute tuition for 5-day, 3-day, and 2 day workshops. Recipients are responsible for ensuring that all remaining costs are paid. Training Office scholarship awards are granted in the following amounts: .. 5-day or 3 plus 2-day workshop $200.00 toward total tuition of $400.00 .. 3-day workshop only $165.00 toward total tuition of $330.00 .. 2-day workshop only $125.00 toward total tuition of $250.00 Are scholarships available for the keynote, one-day, half-day or mini-workshops? Due to the very affordable tuitions of these choices, we are not able to offer scholarships for the keynote and awards lunch, the 1-day, half-day or mini-workshops. The Keynote Address and Awards Luncheon are included for persons registered for a 5-day, 3-day, 2-day, 1-day and half-day or any combination of these workshops. Seats for the Keynote Address and Awards Luncheon are available for $50.00 for those not registering for a workshop during Summer Institute. One-day workshops are offered at $100 per day, half-day workshops are $80 and mini-workshop tuitions are $30 - $50 per workshop. Are scholarships transferable? No. Scholarships are awarded to an individual and are not transferable. As a Program Director receiving this memo, what should I do? 1. Encourage participation. 2. Copy this memo and distribute to your employees. 3. All payments to Conference Services must to be made in cash, by credit card, or check at the time of registration. The dollar amount should match the amount due section of the registration form(s). As an DSAMH employee or employee of a DSAMH funded program receiving this memo, what should I do? 1. Review brochure to decide which workshop(s) you will attend and talk with your supervisor to identify the workshop(s) that would enhance your professional development. Complete the scholarship application and follow your internal agency procedure for submitting it to the Training Office. NOTE: Supervisor signature is not needed on scholarship application. 2. Upon receipt of a scholarship award letter, complete the registration for attending the Institute. 3. Follow your agency procedure for submitting the registration and for payment. Payment must accompany Institute registration. NOTE: Institute registrations are submitted directly to University of Delaware Conference Services as listed on the registration.
