Caregiver Skills Training

Are you struggling with the challenges of caring for a friend or relative age 60 or older (or under age 60 with a medical diagnosis of early onset dementia) in the home? Are you striving to offer the best possible care, but not sure where to turn for hands-on skills and resources?

C.A.R.E. Delaware provides Caregiver Skills Trainings throughout the year which are available in all three counties of the state.  Training classes are provided at Caregiver Resource Centers and other locations as necessary.  Classes are small in size, usually up to 10 caregivers per class.  Instruction is given by a Registered Nurse and/or specially trained staff who are very familiar with the specific needs of a caregiver.

Special classes can be arranged for community or faith-based groups with at least 10 participants. (Call for additional information.)
