FAMILY PREPAREDNESS DAY AT DELAWARE AGRICULTURAL MUSEUM


(Dover) - The 6th annual Family Emergency Preparedness Day event will be held on Saturday, September 22nd at the Delaware Agricultural Museum in Dover, from 10:00AM until 2:00PM, with important information and fun activities for the entire family.

The event is co-sponsored by the Delaware Emergency Management Agency (DEMA), Delaware Department of Health and Social Services-Division of Public Health, Delaware Citizen Corps, Kent County Levy Court, Delmarva Power, American Red Cross, Senior Corps RSVP, Paws For People, and DBC Internet. The Delaware Citizen Corps and Kent County Emergency Management are hosts.

Activities and demonstrations include a live radio broadcast on Eagle 97.7, the Delaware National Guard kids climbing wall, health screenings by Bayhealth, Delaware State Police child identification, Office of Highway Safety child safety seats, the Kent County Mobile Command Post, Millsboro Fire Company safety house, Dover Police K9 demonstration, Kent County Paramedics, Wal-Mart Safety Trailer, Red Cross Emergency Response vehicle, and more.

Exhibitors will have free giveaways, and there will be free food for the first 500 visitors. Admission to the event is free. The Delaware Agricultural Museum is at 866 N. Dupont Highway in Dover.
