Description The Division of Services for Aging and Adults with Physical Disabilities operates one nursing home, Delaware Hospital for the Chronically Ill. A nursing home is a facility that provides care to persons who need assistance in carrying out activities of daily living such as bathing, eating, or taking medicine. The nursing home can also provide skilled care, including rehabilitative therapies such as speech therapy, physical therapy, or occupational therapy.
Eligibility Admission to DSAAPD's nursing home is provided to older persons and adults with disabilities in Delaware who require long-term care services and for whom no other care options are available.
