DSAAPD's Calendar of Events

The Division of Services for Aging and Adults with Physical Disabilities (DSAAPD) Calendar of Events includes information about special events of general interest such as health fairs, conferences, or expos.

For information about various support group meetings or other ongoing events, please see the Caregiver Support and the Joining Generations Grandparent and Relative Caregivers Support and Information Groups pages. For listings of other support groups, please check your local newspaper or contact DSAAPD for assistance.

  • March 15 - Brain Healthy Lifestyle: A Healthy Balance (Three-Part Series), Lighten Up...Feel Great. Laughter is Medicine, 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM and Positive Energy People Panel, 2:15 PM to 4:00 PM, Lewes Library, 111 Adams Avenue, Lewes. Registration begins at 12:30. Free.   • April 17 and 24 - Caregivers Education Series sponsored by Christiana Care Visiting Nurse Association (VNA) and Division of Services for Aging and Adults with Physical Disabilities' C.A.R.E. Delaware program,  5 - 6:30 p.m., John H. Ammon Medical Education Center Room 7, Christiana Hospital campus, 4755 Ogletown-Stanton Road, Newark. Topics will include community resources, managing tasks of daily living, and reducing stress.  A light supper will be included. Call 800-693-2273 to register by phone
  • April 27 - Easter Seals 3rd Annual Caregiver & Respite Conference, 8:45am to 4:00pm, Easter Seals Conference Center,, 61 Corporate Circle in New Castle. $15 fee includes registrant and a family member.
