Caregiver of the Year Contest 2005
November was National Family Caregiving Month. It was a special time to thank, support, educate and advocate for the more than 130,000 family caregivers across Delaware.
It was also a time to celebrate the wonderful efforts of caregivers in Delaware. Through the Family Caregiver of the Year Award, Delaware honored three special caregivers who care for a friend or loved one, while also taking care of themselves.
On Monday, November 7, 2005, Jennie Henry, Susan Gaynor, and Richard Massey, were named Delaware Caregivers of the Year at the first annual Caregiver Expo in Dover, sponsored by Delaware Health and Social Services, Division of Services for Aging and Adults with Physical Disabilities (DHSS/DSAAPD).
