National Health Service Corps

The National Health Service Corps (NHSC) is a program designed to recruit and retain physicians.

In addition to community health centers, private practice sites located in primary care and dental Health Professional Shortage Areas will be identified and targeted for these initiatives. 

DPH encourages the submission of NHSC applications, and will assist with the application process. 

NHSC Ambassadors are in place at area hospitals to include Thomas Jefferson University and the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine (PCOM).
