Answers to Bidder Questions re RFP No. HSS 09 004


Q1.  What is the amount of money available and is it by County?
A1.  The RFP requests service proposals for Wilmington and the surrounding areas.  
Specifically this means within Wilmington city limits and the entirety of ZIP codes 
that are wholly or partially in the city limits (19801, 19802, 19804, 19805, 19806, 
19809 and any other ZIP code that crosses into city limits).  This offering does not 
include all of New Castle County and does not include Kent or Sussex County at all.
The total amount of funding for all programs funded under this announcement will 
not exceed $275,000.

Q2.  It (the RFP) states Wilmington and surrounding areas, would this include Kent 
County? If not, could DHSS please consider including the Kent/ Sussex 
county areas in this intervention?
A2.  See above.  Programs for Kent and Sussex County have already been awarded under 
an earlier RFP.  This offering is for Wilmington and surrounding areas.  Agencies 
wanting to get involved in HIV prevention in other areas may want to partner with 
other local agencies already providing the services.  A listing of agencies providing 
HIV/AIDS related services can be found at www.delawarehiv.org.
