SKELLEY, CPPO PROCUREMENT ADMINISTRATOR (302)255-9291 _____________________________ ADELE WEMLINGER (302) 933-3203 PSC-863 OFF-SITE PHARMACY SERVICES FOR THE STOCKLEY CENTER (Questions and Answers) Question 1: If we make the data available to you, does that satisfy the requirements in the RFP? * It would not as QS/1 is our system that we use. What is the function you intend it to perform? * This keeps our system standardized as it is used in two other facilities and for billing, etc. purposes. Question 2: Is it for claims adjudication? * Yes. Question 3: Can we get contact information for Pat Allinger? * You need to go through Sandra Skelley using the contact information in the RFP and she will funnel the information to the appropriate person(s). Question 4: Can we offer an alternative to QS/1? * You can give additional options to QS/1. However, you must include a specific proposal to the RFP for QS/1 as outlined. You can then list other options and you need to make sure they are clearly labeled in the RFP. PSC-863 Off-Site Pharmacy Services For The Stockley Center (Questions and Answers) Page Two Question 5: The RFP does not seem to include the functionality. An offsite operates differently then if you have your own claims system. If you did, you would not need QS/1. * In your proposal, make sure to include a specific proposal for the QS/1 and then provide options that would be cost effective to both parties. All options need to be clearly labeled in the proposal. Question 6: Is the software for continuity for MAR’s, etc.? * Yes, and also for IT purposes. Question 7: You usually have systems for a reason/functionality? * QS/1 allows us to adjudicate claims. Question 8: How or who will handle the billing? * The Pharmacy will bill all applicable insurances. Charges that are not covered by insurance will be placed on a facility bill which shall be itemized. The facility will review the itemized bill and pay for those items not in dispute. For any item being disputed, a discrepancy report will be provided to the Pharmacy identifying any charges in dispute and include the reason for the dispute. Example: If the facility has record of a medication that was returned to the pharmacy for credit, the charge will not be paid and it will be listed in the report with the reason why.
