For the prevalence study, is the State interested in a general prevalence rate or specifically for adults, adolescents, and older adults? We are interested in the prevalence rates of adults broken down by age, race, ethnic group and sex. 2. Are there any specific populations based on Race/Ethnicity that the State is especially interested in having reliable prevalence rates for and, if so, which populations. All adult populations 3. How many private treatment providers are there in the State providing gambling treatment that would need to be included in the evaluation and how many agencies do they represent. There are approximately 12 individuals that are sub-contracted through a community agency to provide outpatient counseling services. We also offer screening, assessment and treatment through four contracted substance abuse treatment agencies. 4. Approximately how many individuals are treated for problem/pathological gambling within the State's "system" each year? Approximately 200 5. Are family members treated as separate clients? Yes 6. Are they any specialized treatment programs: residential, Race/Ethnic based, adolescent, etc.? No, we only offer outpatient programs overall. 7. Approximately how many agencies are providing prevention activities that should be included in the evaluation and, generally speaking, what kinds of activities are they providing? The state contracts with one community agency to provide prevention activities which include public information sessions, outreach, media campaigns and youth prevention activities (e.g. working with school wellness centers). 8. Are you able to disclose the amount/range of funding that is available to perform this evaluation? We would like potential bidders to indicate how much this evaluation would cost. 9. What is the anticipated period of performance for this evaluation? We anticipate a one year contract for the evaluation services. 10. For the process and outcome evaluation piece - what is the total number of independent sub-contractors and other service providers that might be included? And are data systems already in place for capturing process and outcome data.
