RESOURCE FAIR TO AID MIGRANT AND AGRICULTURAL WORKERS SET FOR JULY 9 IN LAUREL, DE


WHO: Westside Family Healthcare (event sponsor). Beebe Healthcare, Contact Lifeline, Delaware Breast Cancer Coalition, Delaware Department of Education, Delaware Health and Social Services, First State Community Action Agency, Food Bank of Delaware, Health Options-Highmark Blue Cross Blue Shield Delaware, La Esperanza, La Red Health Center, Nanticoke Hospital, People's Place, Sussex Health Coalition, Telamon Corporation, and Western Sussex Boys & Girls Club.
WHAT: Sussex County First Stop Mini-Resource Fair. This resource fair, open to the public, provides free information and resources to connect and assist farmworkers and their families with health and social service needs. Migrant and seasonal agricultural workers and their families, and farm owners, can receive free health screenings (Rapid HIV testing and counseling and Tuberculosis testing) via Westside Family Healthcare's Mobile Health Unit. Attendees will find free health information, healthy cooking demonstrations, and free food and music.
WHEN: Saturday, July 9, 2016 from 1:00 p.m.- 5:00 p.m. In case of rain, it will be rescheduled.
WHERE: Parking lot of Bargain Bill's Flea Market, Rts. 13 and 9 in Laurel, DE.
