WHO: Governor's Council on Health Promotion and Disease Prevention
WHAT: The Governor's Council of Health Promotion and Disease Prevention will be awarding seven Delaware municipalities gold, silver, bronze and honorable mention recognitions for the Healthy Community Recognition Program. The program encourages communities to establish, advance and maintain effective strategies that continuously improve health and quality of life for all Delawareans. The Council's Recognition for Community Health Promotion program recognizes the efforts of Delaware municipalities that bring together community-wide resources to enhance access to services, to encourage positive behavioral changes and to improve community health. This is the first time the awards are being presented.
