AUG. 16 WORKSHOP FOCUSES ON STAYING HEALTHY DURING DISASTERS


Delaware's Division of Public Health's (DPH) Office of Preparedness announces its upcoming workshop, "Staying Healthy During Disasters: Planning for Communities and Families" held Aug. 16 at the University of Delaware's Paradee Center in Dover from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Medical professionals and representatives of faith and community organizations are encouraged to attend. The workshop is free and all materials will be provided.

The Office of Preparedness has conducted seven workshops since fall 2010 with the participation of 77 members of faith and community organizations. The workshop offers guidance on health considerations during disasters that community leaders can use to directly benefit their members.
