DENTAL RADIATION TECHNICAN EXAM FEE INCREASE
Effective Jan. 1, 2009 the fee charged by the Dental Assisting National Board, for the Delaware Dental Radiological Technology Exam will increase from $70 to $87. The $87 examination fee will be effective from Jan. 1, 2009 through Dec. 31, 2011.
In 2006, Delaware's Division of Public Health (DPH) adopted a computerized Delaware Dental Radiological Technology Exam, offered multiple days a week and at statewide testing sites by the Dental Assisting National Board. The application and other processes for the exam remains unchanged. Individuals wishing to become certified as Dental Radiation Technicians must submit their application form and application fee of $10.00 to DPH's Office of Radiation Control. They will be sent a packet of information with instructions to pay for and schedule their exam. Upon passing the exam, individuals will be mailed a four-year state certificate from the DPH, qualifying them to work as dental radiation technicians.
For more information about this program, or for blank application forms, contact the DPH Office of Radiation Control at 302-744-4546 or to www.delaware.gov enter the word "radiation" into the search engine, and click on the "Office of Radiation Control" link. Forms are listed on the right side of this web page.
