REACHING THE OPTIMAL YOU: WOMEN'S WELLNESS EXPO 2007 NOW ACCEPTING REGISTRATIONS
Your Chance to Indulge - Friday October 19, 2007
DOVER - How often do women really get the chance to indulge in an entire day designed with them in mind? In Delaware, at least once a year at the Annual Women's Wellness Expo.
The 7th Annual Delaware Women's Wellness Expo is a fun, relaxing and innovative way for women across the life span to rejuvenate the mind, body and spirit, and explore ways to lead healthier, happier and well-balanced lives. The day includes numerous health screenings, exhibitors, and a series of discussions on health and wellness issues facing women in our state and nationally.
"Whether you are a busy executive or community volunteer, a sister or spouse going through difficult times, a mother who cares for everyone else and just needs a nap, a daughter caring for an elder or just a remarkable woman without a label, we want you to join us in a community of nurturing, safety and support," said Leah Jones, Co-Chair of the Women's Wellness Expo Planning Committee. "The Expo features activities that are interactive, giving women the high quality information they need to take charge of their lives by creating balance, reducing stress and developing a formula for healthy lifestyles."
The Women's Wellness Expo features activities that are experiential and interactive; giving women the high-quality information they need to take charge of their lives by creating balance, reducing stress and developing a formula for healthy lifestyles. Heart Healthy Women includes a panel of healthcare professionals discussing women's heart health from the Christiana Care Center for Heart and Vascular Health while Living with Passion and Pleasure addresses romance and relationships at every age. Also included are Cooking Demos for simple and healthy meal preparation, Belly Dancing for healthy exercise, Free Health and Wellness Screenings, Exhibits and Give-a-ways.
The cost is $30 to attend the Women's Wellness Expo. The $30 fee pays for lunch, screenings, speakers, educational sessions and handout materials. The women's Wellness Expo is not funded by any specific State or Federal Agency.
