FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
NEW TOLL FREE LINE AVAILABLE FROM THE DIVISION OF DEVELOPMENTAL DISABILITIES SERVICES --- 1-(866)-552-5758
The Division of Developmental Disabilities Services is pleased to announce that the Division has taken another step forward in significantly improving customer service by establishing a Toll Free Number: 1-(866)552-5758. Starting today, anyone from anywhere will be able to contact the Division toll free!
"This line of communication is one more tool provided to Delawareans by the Division to assist all in accessing developmental disability services in the most efficient way possible," says Division Director Marianne Smith.
The number is functional 24/7. After routine business hours and on weekends and holidays, calls will be routed to the switchboard at Stockley Center, with the exception of the "complaint hotline," option #10. When dialed, the toll free number will offer callers the following menu of options:
- To report abuse, mistreatment, neglect, or exploitation
- To apply for services
- To contact Early Intervention Services
- To Contact Community Services
- To contact Adult Special Populations Services
- To contact Stockley Center
- To contact Quality Management
- To contact Training and Professional Development
- To contact the Director's Office and Office of Budget, Contracts & Business Services
- To leave a voice message regarding a complaint about DDDS services, a DDDS employee, or service provider
"In addition to the multi-faceted task of publicizing our new Toll Free Number," said Roy Lafontaine, Deputy Director, "our first shipment of Toll Free Number refrigerator magnets are due to arrive shortly. These magnets will be distributed to consumers, families, and others."
Delaware Health and Social Services is committed to improving the quality of the lives of Delaware's citizens by promoting health and well-being, fostering self-sufficiency, and protecting vulnerable populations.
