COMMUNITY FAIR PROVIDES SAFETY EDUCATION AND FUN-FILLED DAY FOR THE ENTIRE FAMILY

Free health screenings, safety checks, children's activities and entertainment for the entire family!

Wilmington - Show your child what safety and good health is all about at the Family Safety & Health Fair from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday August 11 at Wilmington's Rodney Square. Presented by Retired and Senior Volunteer Programs Wilmington Triad, with financial support provided by State Farm Insurance and Wal-Mart, the event features activities and exhibits from organizations throughout the community and Guest of Honor Delaware Insurance Commissioner Matt Denn showcasing services available to the community.

Research shows that children are more likely to practice good safety tips when they learn from the positive actions of parents or other influential adults, like firefighters. Children and caregivers will learn together at fun, interactive displays with safety and health experts.

Free health screenings, safety checks, children's activities and entertainment for the entire family!

And FREE bicycle engraving and 911 emergency beacon light distribution

There is no admission cost for the event.

The Family Safety Fair is sponsored by the a group of senior citizens working to promote safety and crime prevention in the City of Wilmington.
