PUBLIC HEALTH MEETING EXAMINES POLICIES AND PLANS
Delaware's Division of Public Health and its partners will examine policies and plans developed to support individual and statewide health efforts, the seventh in a series of ten service assessments. This assessment will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, October 18, 2006 at the George Massey Train Station in Dover, in the second floor conference room.
Using an assessment tool developed by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), public health partners will evaluate how well the Delaware public health system:
- Develops statewide health improvement processes.
- Prepares and updates a state health improvement plan.
- Provides technical assistance and support in drafting appropriate rules and regulations.
- Modifies health policies and plans to enhance efforts to improve the health of Delawareans.
There will be opportunity for public testimony via letter or e-mail. For more information, please contact Amy DuPont at amy.dupont@state.de.us or call 302-744-4704.
