FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
MOBILIZING PARTNERS TO SOLVE HEALTH PROBLEMS
Assessing Delaware
In the sixth in a series of 10 essential public health services assessments, the Delaware Division of Public Health and public health partners will examine how the public health system mobilizes partnerships to identify and solve health problems.
Using an assessment tool developed by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), public health partners will evaluate how well the Delaware public health system:
- Engages communities and builds public health constituencies.
- Organizes partnerships for public health to foster the sharing of resources.
- Communicates with partners and enhances relationships.
- Leverages system-wide resources and supports partnership growth.
The assessment is scheduled for Wednesday, September 20 at the Division of Public Health Training Center in the Blue Hen Corporate Center in Dover beginning at 10:00a.m. The public is welcome to attend. There will be opportunity for public testimony via letter or e-mail. For more information, please contact Michele Moore at Michele.moore@state.de.us or call 302-741-2900.
Delaware Health and Social Services is committed to improving the quality of the lives of Delaware's citizens by promoting health and well-being, fostering self-sufficiency, and protecting vulnerable populations.
