STOCKLEY STRIDE DATE SET FOR SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 24 AT 9 A.M.


Georgetown - The 17th Annual Stockley Stride 5K and One Mile Fun/Run Walk will be held on Saturday, September 24 at 9 a.m., rain or shine.

All entrants will receive a quality color long sleeve Stockley Stride T-shirt. Trophies will be awarded to winners in all categories: $100 for the first place overall winner, male and female; $50 for second place, male and female; and $25 for third place, male and female.

Fees are $13.00 pre-registration for the 5K Race, $15.00 race day registration for the 5K race, and $10.00 for the One-Mile Fun/Run Walk. Race day registration begins at 7:30 a.m. For more information call Gayle King at (302) 934-8031, Ext. 206.

Volunteers are needed for a variety of positions, including buddy walkers to assist Stockley Center residents participating in the Stride. For more information on volunteer opportunities, call Gayle King at the above number.

In celebration of our 17th Stockley Stride, the Division of Developmental Disabilities Services will also offer craft sales from the different day programs within the state. Many beautiful hand made crafts will be available on race day.

Race proceeds benefit the recreational needs of Stockley Center residents.

Stockley Center is located on Patriots Way between Millsboro and Georgetown (just off RT 113)
