FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
NEW ONLINE APPLICATION AVAILABLE TO ASSIST THOSE IN NEED
ASSIST is the State of Delaware's Application for Social Service Programs. www.dhss.delaware.gov/dhss/dss/pubs.html This site will let applicants see if their household is potentially eligible for Delaware's social service programs. If eligible, applicants many then apply for these services online. ASSIST helps an applicant submit an application and gives them additional information to complete the process.
Here is how ASSIST helps. The self-screening questionnaire can tell an applicant which Social Service Programs an applicant and the members of an applicant household may be eligible to receive. The application lets an applicant apply online for Social Service Programs offered by the State of Delaware.
If an applicant answers the questions in the screening questionnaire, ASSIST can tell an applicant what services the household members may be eligible to receive. The information an applicant give us in the questionnaire is strictly confidential. We do not keep this information. An applicant does not have to fill out the self-screening questionnaire. An applicant can go directly to the online application and apply for all of the services an applicant chooses. Medicaid Delaware, Cash Assistance, Healthy Children Program, Qualified Medicare Beneficiary, Long Term Care, Food Stamp Benefits.
Delaware Health and Social Services is committed to improving the quality of the lives of Delaware's citizens by promoting health and well-being, fostering self-sufficiency, and protecting vulnerable populations.
