FAMILY EMERGENCY PREPAREDNESS PRESENTATIONS
Public Invited to Attend Informational Seminars
The public is invited to attend Family Emergency Preparedness presentations at public libraries throughout Sussex County. These public presentations are free of charge and sponsored by the State Office of Volunteerism's Retired & Senior Volunteer Program and the Delaware Emergency Management Agency.
The Community Outreach - Operation Preparedness (CO-OP) program was developed in July in response to requests for information and preparation for dealing with acts of terrorism. However, the information and recommendations are designed to help families prepare for a variety of hazards, such as coastal storms, power outages, as well as threats or acts of terrorism. The program brings a message of readiness for all manner and sizes of disasters and disruptive events. Sample emergency supply kits will be on hand.
