FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
APPOQUINIMINK STATE SERVICE CENTER TO REMAIN CLOSED THURSDAY
Clients needing services immediately can call Helpline to be directed
MIDDLETOWN - The Appoquinimink State Service Center will remain closed at least through Thursday, Feb. 20 because a large amount of snow is still blocking the entrance and parking areas. Clients will still be able to immediately access services they would normally obtain at Appoquinimink, but they will need to call the Delaware HelpLine at 800-464-HELP to find out what alternate location they should visit.
Services offered at Appoquinimink include food stamps, Medicaid, Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF), the School-Based Wellness Center, vocational rehabilitation, and emergency help with heat, electricity and food.
Delaware Health and Social Services is committed to improving the quality of the lives of Delaware's citizens by promoting health and well-being, fostering self-sufficiency, and protecting vulnerable populations.
