Volunteer Events

Each year, the Governor hosts two events intended to honor Delawareans who volunteer thoughout the State. For those 17 and younger, there are the Governor's Youth Volunteer Service Awards.The nomination form is posted in late fall and is due in January. For more information about this event, please visit in November. This year's Governor's Youth Volunteer Service Awards will be held on April 23, 2009 at Dover Downs.

For those 18 and older, there is the Governor's Outstanding Volunteer Awards. These awards recognize the important contributions volunteers, both as individuals and groups, make to their communities through volunteerism. The winners for this prestigeous award will be notified by September.
