The most exciting new development for 2009/2010 is that we are making it easier than ever for you to pick and register for workshops. We strongly encourage you to review the 2009/2010 DSAMH TRAINING CATA- LOG on line, and REGISTER ON-LINE! Just click on our web site. http://dtool.dhss.delaware.gov and follow the easy directions. As always, workshops are offered throughout the state, developed and presented by faculty who are experts in the field of recovery from mental illness, substance use conditions, and gambling-related problems. Many of the workshops and faculty are new, with a focus on applying recovery-based principles to practice, including a Tool Box series and a consumer-developed and led “Power of Consumer Recovery” workshop. Another exciting new development is information about using public transportation to get to workshops – use our web site to check the details for the various DART bus routes which provide access to many of our training sites. The DSAMH Training Office staff looks forward to providing you with the highest quality of educational opportunities, and we encourage you to give us feed- back on how we are meeting your needs. We continue to emphasize the collaboration of systems, how to use evidenced-based practices, what you should know about emerging best practices and consumer-driven strategies. Whether you are a provider or receiver of services, or a person interested in topics covered by our faculty, we appreciate your eagerness to learn and passion about mental health, substance use conditions and gambling- related issues. 3022559480 3022559480 2 www.dhss.delaware.gov/dhss/dsamh/train.html www.dhss.delaware.gov/dhss/dsamh/train.html 3 FFAAQQSSFFAAQQSS Frequently Asked Questions See “POLICIES & PROCEDURES” on page 6 & 7 for detailed information Q: A: Who can take a DSAMH Workshop?
