Nutrition for Healthy Aging

The Division of Services for Aging and Adults with Physical Disabilities (DSAAPD) is committed to providing information about nutrition and nutrition services to older Delawareans. DSAAPD works in partnership with various national and community organizations to promote the health of older persons through better nutrition.

Fruits & Veggies—More Matters™

DSAAPD works with community organizations to promote the Produce for Better Health Foundation's health initiative, Fruits & Veggies—More Matters™. The purpose of this initiative is to improve health by encouraging people to eat more fruits and vegetables. Visit the Fruits & Veggies—More Matters™ web site for more information.

MyPyramid

DSAAPD makes extensive use of nutrition resources provided by national organizations such as the US Department of Agriculture (USDA), the Center for Disease Control (CDC), and National Institutes of Health (NIH). A very valuable resource promoted by DSAAPD is MyPyramid, a learning tool which helps people personalize their own health plans. For in-depth information about MyPyramid, healthful eating and physical activity, visit MyPyramid.gov .
