Delaware Long Term Care Guide Available
Choosing an assisted living facility or nursing home for a family member can be a challenging task. It can also be an emotional and time-consuming experience.
The Long Term Care Ombudsman Program of the Division of Services for Aging and Adults with Physical Disabilities (DSAAPD) has published a comprehensive new guide to help residents make informed choices about assisted living and nursing homes.
The publication, "How to Select Long Term Care," includes a wealth of consumer information: nursing home terminology, long term care options, questions you should ask before and during site visits, nursing home compliance, reporting requirements, and more.
The publication includes inserts which provide a nursing home checklist and comparative information about the services and costs of Delaware’s assisted living facilities and nursing homes.
