State Plan on Aging Hearing to Be Held on April 24, 2008

Delaware Health and Social Services, Division of Services for Aging and Adults with Physical Disabilities (DSAAPD), has drafted a State Plan on Aging to cover the period from October 1, 2008 through September 30, 2012.

A public hearing on the draft plan will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, April 24, 2008, at Carroll’s Plaza , 1114 S. DuPont Hwy, Dover, DE, 19901. During the hearing, interested persons will have the opportunity to offer comments and suggestions.

The Delaware State Plan on Aging has been developed to meet requirements under Title III and Title VII of the Older Americans Act. These titles provide funding for a variety of programs and services in Delaware including: supportive services; nutrition programs; disease prevention and health promotion initiatives; elder rights protection activities; and caregiver support programs.
