Grand Families Day

Grand Families Day, a special event for grandparents and other relatives raising children, will be held on Saturday, July 23, 2005, from 10 AM to 3 PM at the Asbury United Methodist Church in New Castle. Lunch and childcare will be provided.

Training topics will include:

• Parenting
• Behavioral Issues
• Relationships
• Legal Matters
• School Problems/Learning Disabilities
• Stopping the Cycle of Substance Abuse
• Open Discussion

Participants will be given a training booklet and a copy of the Delaware Legal Handbook for Grandparents & Other Relatives Raising Children.

Special activities will be on hand for children!

Grand Families Day is being held through a partnership between the Division of Services for Aging and Adults with Physical Disabilities - Joining Generation Program and Delaware Ecumenical Council on Children & Families.
