H1N1 and Seasonal Flu Information
This time of year, we are likely to hear a lot about the flu.
The flu, also known as "influenza," is a significant health concern. Every year in the United States, up to one in five people gets sick with the seasonal flu, about 200,000 are hospitalized, and 36,000 die from complications.
This year, officials are also concerned with the spread of the H1N1 flu, previously referred to as the "swine flu."
