Caregiver Expo 2005

If you are providing care to  someone aged 60+, or are 60+ and raising grandchildren, this expo is for YOU!

General Information

"Delaware Caregiver Expo 2005.  Taking Charge.  A Day of Learning Sharing & Support” is free of charge and open to family caregivers. It will be held November 7, 2005 from 1:00 - 8:00 p.m. at the Sheraton Dover Hotel.  Registration opens at 12:00 noon.

This is the first Expo of its kind to be hosted by Delaware Health and Social Services/Division of Services for Aging and Adults with Physical Disabilities (DHSS/DSAAPD) in partnership with Christiana Care Health System, Bayhealth Medical Center, and AARP of Delaware.

Caregivers will join others for a full day of events.  “Delaware Caregiver Expo 2005” attendees will have the opportunity to attend educational seminars, health screenings and product demonstrations.  The seminars will cover important topics such as available resources, access to care, and caregiver-related financial, legal and insurance issues.  Those attending can also watch cooking demonstrations, learn new quick and healthy recipes, and relax with spa treatments.

The day’s events will include lunch, hor d’oeuvres, dinner and dessert.

Family Caregiver of the Year Award

Three special caregivers who care for a friend or loved one will be honored through the Caregiver of the Year Award. (Visit the Caregiver of the Year Award page to nominate a caregiver before October 24th.)
