Home Visiting for First-Time Parents
The Home Visiting program may be able to help first time parents that sometimes feel unsure about how to take care of the new child.
Before you and your baby leave the hospital, ask about Home Visiting for First-Time Parents program.

If you are eligible, a Public Health nurse will contact you to arrange a visit. During the visit:
- The nurse will see how you and your baby are doing and make arrangements for any needed medical care.
- The nurse can answer questions about your health, your baby's health, infant feeding or any other questions that may come up after you leave the hospital.
- The nurse will explain what additional services are available to you and your baby.
