LICENSED AND CERTIFIED LONG TERM CARE FACILITIES
The Division of Long Term Care Residents Protection is responsible for licensing all long term care facilities in Delaware. The Division is also responsible for certifying nursing homes that wish to participate in the Medicare and/or Medicaid programs.
The Division maintains lists of all the long term care facilities that have a current license to operate in Delaware. The facilities are licensed in the following categories:
- Nursing Homes , including Intermediate Care Facilities for Persons with Mental Retardation and Intermediate Care Facilities in Institutions for Mental Diseases (This list also shows which facilities have Medicare and/or Medicaid certification.)
- Assisted Living Facilities
- Group Homes for Persons with AIDS
- Group Homes for Persons with Mental Illness
- Neighborhood Homes for Persons with Developmental Disabilities
- Rest (Family Care) Homes
- Rest (Residential) Homes.
